Find your size from one chest measurement

Say how you like it to fit and give your chest, or the size of a jacket you own. The finder matches it to the garment's measurements and picks the size for you.

Which weight of cotton suits your work

Ounces are the weight of one square yard of the cloth. Heavier canvas lasts longer and keeps out more wind, and takes longer to soften.

About Graft workwear

Graft makes heavy cotton workwear in Newcastle, New South Wales: a chore jacket and a shop apron in 14 oz cotton duck, double-knee work trousers in 12 oz duck, and a 9 oz brushed flannel work shirt. The cotton is grown in the Namoi Valley and woven in Geelong, then cut and sewn in our Carrington factory with triple-needle seams, bar-tacked pockets and solid copper rivets.

Choose the Carrington chore jacket to wear over everything on site or in the workshop, the Wickham double-knee trousers for work on your knees, the Stockton flannel for cold mornings, and the Merewether apron to carry tools at the bench. Every piece comes with free repairs for as long as you own it.

Questions about choosing workwear

What does 14 oz canvas mean?

One square yard of the cloth weighs 14 ounces, about 475 grams a square metre. It is roughly twice the weight of a pair of jeans, so it takes longer to soften and lasts much longer.

Do the colours fade?

Yes, slowly and evenly, lightest where the canvas rubs: collars, cuffs, pocket edges and knees. Tobacco fades towards honey, black towards charcoal, field green towards sage.

Can I exchange a size if I have worn it?

Yes. Size exchanges are free within 60 days, posted both ways, even after a few days on site.

Do you make crew and uniform orders?

Yes, from ten pieces, with chain-stitched names or a woven badge. Orders of fifty or more are cut in their own run.
