Care
Wash at 40 degrees with like colours and a gentle liquid detergent, without bleach or softener. Line-dry for a crisper feel or tumble on low for a softer one. Never iron it: the creases are part of stonewashed linen. Washing and drying linen

How every Linnet sheet set is made
About five months from a flax field in Normandy to the long table in Grey Lynn.
Grown
Fibre flax from the Lefèvre farm near Fécamp, pulled by the root in July.
Woven
Woven in widths up to 3 metres, so even the super king flat sheet has no seam.
Sewn
The fitted sheet is boxed at each corner and elasticated all the way round.
Stonewashed
Washed twice with Taupō pumice, so the sheets are soft on the first night.
Linen sheets for a humid Auckland summer night
On the hottest nights, sleep under the flat sheet alone. Flax takes up moisture and dries fast, so linen never clings the way cotton can.

Which depth do I need?
Measure your mattress with any topper on it. Up to 35 cm, the standard pocket fits. From 35 to 45 cm, choose deep. The tool on this page works it out.
Is the flat sheet big enough to tuck in?
Yes. Each flat sheet is 30 cm wider and longer than the mattress and its depth, so it tucks in at the foot and the sides.
Will the fitted sheet stay on?
Elastic runs all the way round, not just at the corners, so it holds the mattress from every side and does not ride up.
How many pillowcases come in a single set?
Two standard pillowcases in every size, so a single has a spare for the wash.
How often should I wash linen sheets?
Once a week, at 40 degrees. Linen gets softer with every wash, so it is the one thing you cannot wash too often.
