Thriving brands need a lot of photos, videos and ads. A shoot buys one location

So the shoot gets put off, and last year’s photos keep doing the work. Switch it over and see what changes.

FasterDays, not weeks. No booking, no shoot day.
Uncapped scaleVolume is not capped by shoot days. Every SKU, not the ones that made the shoot list.
BetterAs many locations as the product suits. More ways to style it, and more buyers who can picture it as theirs.

Why the product images carry the sale

8 years

In design and marketing, including running and scaling paid ad accounts.

56%

Of shoppers go straight to the product images, before they read a word of the page.

42%

Try to judge how big a product is from its images alone.

28%

Of 60 large online stores reviewed had no image showing a product in scale.

How it works, once the work starts

You send a couple of phone photos of each product and tell us what it really is. The rest happens here.

  1. Discover

    Brand · Audience · Market

Before we make a single image we work out where the brand sits in its market, who it is trying to reach, and what everyone else in the category already looks like. This is what the creative direction is built on.

  2. Creative direction

    Concept · Scene · Story

Then we decide what the image needs to make somebody feel. A Byron Bay home with afternoon sun through the window. A Bondi apartment. A knit shot the way a magazine would shoot it. Every choice, from the angle to the time of day, is deliberate.

  3. Create

    Photos · Video · Ads

The whole image is made, product included. What is never made up is the product itself: colour, proportion, finish and materials come from the real thing and are checked against it. We make dozens, then keep the strongest.

  4. Refine

    Design · Retouch · Improve

AI gets us a good starting point, not a finished photo. Lighting gets adjusted, objects get removed and some frames are retouched by hand. It is the step almost everyone skips, and the reason most AI images look like AI images.

  5. Deliver

    Ready to run

Two sets: one sized and compressed for your product pages, and full-resolution files for print, packaging and email. Running ads? Every placement ratio, sized and named so you upload rather than rebuild.

Questions people ask before they start

Won’t it just look fake?

Not from us, and that is a guarantee rather than a hope. What we hand over has to read as a photograph of a real product in a room that could exist, or it does not go out. Bad AI work is an argument against bad work, not against the tools. Nobody directed it and nobody finished it. We do both, on every frame.

Could I not just do this myself?

You could, and access is not the constraint. Knowing what to make is, and so is getting the picture in your head to come out as the picture on the screen. That is what eight years of design, creative direction and paid ads buys you, and it is not downloadable.

Will it change my actual product?

No. It is the one rule this studio does not bend. Colour, proportion, finish, configuration and materials stay accurate, and every image is checked against the real product before it reaches you.

Should I never hire a photographer again?

No. Hire one for documentation: a case study at a customer’s home, you speaking at an event. Every room your product has never been in, every campaign and every new season is creation, and creation is most of what a store needs in a year.
